The gait cycle is the sequence of movements your whole body goes through when you take a step. It starts when your foot touches the ground and ends when the same foot touches the ground again.
Understanding your gait can help identify any movement limitations you may have adopted due to injury, surgery, sporting history, habit or a myriad other reasons.
-
Analysing your posture and gait cycle helps us spot any imbalances or inefficiencies in the way you move. By understanding how your body holds itself and functions during each step, we can identify movement limitations that may be causing pain, affecting your performance, or increasing your risk of injury.
Of course, imbalances are present in all of us, and some can actually be beneficial. My goal is to address only those that lead to pain or performance deficits.

The number of sessions you'll need varies from person to person and depends on your current situation, injury history and goals. After each session, I'll provide you with specific exercises or "homework" to support your progress. The frequency of sessions is tailored to your needs —it's all about finding a rhythm that suits your recovery and lifestyle.

Yes, I am very familiar with holding appointments online. And if this is your preference, all physiotherapy and movement assessments and follow-up sessions can be carried out via Google Meet.

Please bring any relevant documents or medical reports to your first session.
It's also recommended that you come to your appointment with loose clothing that is easy for you to move in.If you are coming to see me with a lower limb problem, it would be helpful if you could bring a pair of shorts to change into. Similarly, if you are attending with an upper limb issue, consider wearing a simple vest top.
