About Andrew

My background

Once an athlete with a passion for football, I represented Wales as a schoolboy and later had trials with the Cardiff City youth team.

I also played county baseball (Welsh baseball but still…) and competed in track and field and middle distance races.

My injuries

Sadly, these sporting pursuits came with an eye-watering sum of injuries, the most significant occurring in my 20s when I broke my back while in New Zealand.

This injury led to years of debilitating pain, compounded by further issues with my hips, knees and feet.

My CHAllenges

This experience took a massive toll not only physically but psychologically and emotionally.

Living with chronic widespread pain for so long and without any indication that things would improve up-ended my life in more ways than I can describe.

Despite the determination to get better, all traditional solutions offered me no relief, and I grew increasingly frustrated at the lack of answers.

My journey

After seeing physiotherapists, podiatrists, and countless chiropractors, I resolved to take matters into my own hands.

I dedicated years to learning from some of the leading minds in truly tailored rehabilitation, people whose life work was focused on uncovering the fine details of human movement.

This journey transformed my understanding of the body, how it moves and how it heals. Once unable to walk without excruciating pain, I now have full freedom to enjoy all the activities I love.

My service

This experience and what it’s taught me is why I now want to help others who also feel like they’ve run out of options. It is my passion to help people free themselves of pain and regain ownership of their bodies.

Today, I work with clients from all walks of life, including GB athletes, hobbyist gym goers, and everyday individuals, helping them overcome long-standing injuries and pain to feel, move and perform at their best.

Accreditations

I have worked in the rehab and performance field for more than 8 years, gaining experience in both private and NHS settings, and treating a variety of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP).

I have a first-class honours BSc Physiotherapy from Leeds Beckett University, a Level 3 qualification in Fitness Instruction & Personal Training as well as a Level 2 accreditation in Counselling Skills from the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I have studied for the last 5 years to specialise in gait analysis and human biomechanics with Anatomy in Motion, supplementing this training with courses in manual therapy with Anatomy Trains.
